Summer Outreach Volunteer SignUps

Habitat for humanity (June 14, 21, 28, July 26 & August 2)
• HELP BUILD THE HOUSE (must be 16 or over)
No construction experience or special tools are required, as Habitat provides on-site supervision, training and all the equipment you might need.
• PROVIDE/PREPARE/SERVE A MEAL FOR THE WORKERS
Volunteers purchase and provide workers with lunch (sandwiches, hamburgers, chips, cookies, etc) around noon. This is a great serving opportunity for a small group or community group, or for families who have kids too young to build, but still want to participate.
• TRANSPORT TABLES/SUPPLIES TO AND FROM CHURCH
Each of the days we serve, we take tables, chairs, ice chests full of water and Gatorade, and a few other misc. supplies to our work site in the morning and set it all up. Then, after lunch is served, we tear it down and then take it back to church.

Operation Backyard (June 22 – 28)
• CREW CHIEFS
Plan, organize, and supervise the work on a worksite. Your job is to train your crew how to do the work, supervise their progress and keep them safe.
• LUNCH CREW
Help make sandwiches, brownies, etc. and bring it to the work site each day.

West Vista Ridge (Elementary Camp: June 23 – 27, Middle School: July 16 – 18)
• HELP WITH REGISTATION AND CHECK IN
Responsible for checking in and distributing name tags to the volunteers and kids.
• HELP PREPARE AND SERVE DINNER & SNACKS
We not only feed the kids, but also all the volunteers each night.
• HELP ORGANIZE AND LEAD GAMES / RECREATION TIME
• HELP ORGANIZE AND LEAD CRAFTS
• TEACHING, SKITS AND/OR SPEAKING
We are looking for energetic speakers for the elementary camp. The theme this year is Faith Finders Detective Club. The kids will uncover clues to discover the life of Jesus. All the materials will be provided. You will have 15 minutes to teach the kids. We also need someone to be responsible for the introduction and wrap up each night. For the middle school camp, we are looking for dynamic speakers to share the gospel with the kids. This could be one person who would like to do all 3 nights or 3 different people. We are open to all ideas.
• CAMP CHARACTER (Elementary Only)
We are looking for an energetic individual who loves kids to be Agent Faith, our detective, for the week. The costume can be a black suit, tie and sunglasses. It is a plus if you have a calm dog you can bring a long as Sherlock Bones.
• WORSHIP LEADER, MUSICIANS, VOCALIST
