Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. I Corinthians 9:24 NIV
A lot goes into “getting the prize” in a race. Sure it’s the person that’s the fastest but it’s the person that is the fastest from the beginning through the end of the race that wins. For the church budget the race is more like a marathon being run over the course of the year. With five weeks to go in 2007 the budget race is nearing the finish. Help us finish strong by remembering your tithes and offerings to support ministry operations. Also help close the gap in giving for short-term mission trips and the Habitat for Humanity house by making a contribution above your regular tithe and offering.
